About Us

Welcome to Homeschool Mamma! I'm a single mother of 5 children ranging from 11 to 20 years of age.
I have two children with ADHD, a child Autism, a child with Anxiety, and a Selective Mute child. This alone can be frustrating for any family. I believe that children should be free to express themselves with limited medication. However, this does not mean reject all medications, but to limit how much is given. I believe that the medication prevents children from showing their full potential.

With that being said, our style of learning was and still is lapbooking, notebooking, hands on math, field trips, nature walks, and videos. Our free time consist of planning for the evenings and the weekends for our miss times together taking road trips and exploring our neighborhood.  Once a month we take a mini vacation to let loose, but on a weekly basis we would like to be able to connect with our local homeschool friends because we don't get to participate with them as often as we use to. Not to mention we are very active in our church with youth groups, life groups, and on the parking lot team. We're looking into joining more the volunteer teams at our church, as well as looking for something in our community to volunteer there as well.

  1. Hi! My name is Kerry, and I am the administrator of a website for homeschooled high schoolers and their parents called "LetsHomeschoolHighschool.com".

This site is a combination social network, forum, and resource site. We have articles about homeschooling high school (and beyond!), news items, a Twitter feed, a Facebook page, a forum, and a host of ways for members to connect and share their experiences.

I was wondering if you would take a minute today to check out the site and see what you think. We are growing by several new members each week, and we would love to have you join us.

One of the newest resources at the site is our list of highschool homeschool bloggers: http://letshomeschoolhighschool.com/homeschool-high-school-blogs/ We are offering this list as a resource for our visitors so they can find and follow quality blogs other families homeschooling through high school. A running digest of the most recent posts from each of these blogs is on the page as well. I recently came across your blog and have added it on the blogroll page and in the digest! I hope you will gain some traffic from the listing.

Also, if you visit and enjoy the site, we would appreciate it if you might consider adding our button to your sidebar (code is on the homepage of the website), so that your blog visitors might find out about us as well, or maybe mention the site in a future post.

Thanks for your time, and I sure hope to see you at LetsHomeschoolHighschool.com!

  2. I applaud your commitment to your children. I have the utmost respect for homeschooling as I believe our public system is failing on so many levels.
