Homemade Dinner Rolls

We made homeschool dinner rolls from the recipe on the back of the Gold Medal bag of bread flour. This recipe stated it would make 30 rolls, but I guess that depends on the size you make your rolls because we made 38 of them. We used 7 of them for tonight’s dinner, froze 12 in two separate bags for future dinners and the last bag had 7 in it for another meal.

I was surprised it turned out well for the first time making these. I guess that’s the importance of following the recipe without making a mistake. I think next time I will add some butter in them to make buttery biscuits and see how that will turn out.

The next time I will also include my children in this project because I think they can learn a lot by making homemade dinner rolls. Maybe we’ll even make some homemade bread. We’ve made that before, but with a bread maker. That takes out the fun of making a mess and enjoying the fresh bread of all the hard work that goes into making the bread.
