National Fried Chicken Day

Today is National Fried Chicken Day. What a nice way to learn how to make Southern Fried Chicken. This will teach your children how making it, they will have fun and get messy. You could even invite a few family members and friends over and turn it into great get together. If you decide not to that, might I suggest making some homemade baked beans, salad, lemonade, and some fresh fruit. That's a nice family dinner.

This is not just a national holiday, but loads of fun as well. Your children are still learning to follow a recipe, and not realizing this is schooling as well. They will learn about a (History/Geography) traditional recipe (Reading) from the south, (Math) measurements, (Science) mixing the solids, liquids, and solid together, and (Language Arts) write about what they learned or write out the recipe.
