Our Classroom Activity

A few weeks ago we found these wonderful classroom activities. We bought a couple and gave one a away. We are completing one ourselves and having fun doing this. It does take some time to complete, but well worth the time.

However, this is designed to be hung on the wall and work on it there, but we don't have the space for that. So, we took poster boards and taped them together to and placed the sheets on that. We started off with 4 poster boards and needed more. So, we ran back to the store for one more piece.

Once we got our finalized our assembly, my children were excited to get started. There were 8 hands work on this activity. We started on the floor to the coffee table and then the kitchen table.

We have almost completed our classroom activity. We have all the smaller items colored in. We now just need to color in each state. It looks a lot better with the states colored in, doesn't it?

Now that you've seen it all completed. We were so excited to have finished it and it turned out so pretty. I love all those bright colors. Now, I still have a few more, but I think we will do one per month. This way they don't get bored with this activity because these are great to have for those rainy days.

Planning Interuption

As I was planning for the upcoming week, my 5 year old wanted to pull out the file folder games. I mentioned before that my children get excited when they see these games. Especially, my 5 year old, he loves them to death. So, my planning turned into a learning session today. This isn’t a problem; in fact I love it when they show an interest in learning. A child’s mind is like a sponge, any opportunity I can get to a little extra, I will snatch it up.
